Original Pattern:Frosted Alpine Hat

Knitter Extraordinaire: Corinne (Ravelry ID)

Mods: Changed up the colourwork to feature a snowflake fair isle design, and higher contrast edges and details. Plenty of great details can be found on her project page, here.

What Makes This Awesome: This was a great way to approach a mod- Corinne had knit the original hat pattern a few times, and decided to try something new with it.  As she was already familiar with the pattern, it was a great way for her to get started with a modification- she originally wanted to include the snowflakes on the ear flaps, but it wasn’t working out and she ripped back to keep them green. The colours are great, as well- the high contrast black and white give a lot of pop again the green, and d I like the black  edging around the bottom of the hat.  Her notes show the thought she out into this and the changes she made along the way, and the result is a truly fantastic hat!

I love the colours and the pattern on this hat, very unique. The fleece lining sounds like a super cosy finish!
