How information overload robs us of our creativity.

To de-stress, try talking to yourself in the third person.

Every female lead in every romantic comedy, written by a man.

This ballet rotoscope is so hypnotically beautiful.

My Favourite Pins This Week

If you are loving all things pumpkin this season, you will love these Pumpkin Crumb Cake Muffins, which are like amazing little pumpkin flavoured coffee cakes! Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe can be found here.

Have you tried grilled fish tacos yet? Fish tacos are one of my favourite things to get in a restaurant, and they are really easy to make at home. Much healthier to grill the fish, too! The lime cabbage slaw is also delicious in these. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe can be found here.

Fixing a mistake in lace knitting can be extremely intimidating, and often results in ripping back rounds or rows. But what if you could just fix the one area that had the mistake? This is a great post that takes you through the process of fixing mistakes in lace knitting. Pinterest link is here, and the original post can be found here.

I love this modern crochet baby blanket, comprised of little triangles. Full free pattern is there, and there would be so many great colour combinations that you could come up with- and even make a bigger one for a bed, if you wanted. Pinterest link is here, and the original post is here.

Feel like you haven’t quite accomplished some of the goals you set out for 2017? This is a great way to reboot for a 90 day action plan to do a final push on whatever you really want to do this year. 2017 isn’t over yet. Pinterest link is here, and the original post is here.

Have a lovely weekend everyone! Anyone have any fall plans, like apple picking or pie making? I so want to go apple picking!

Hmmmm Apple Picking. That sounds delightful. I really need to bake up something pumpkin soon, but down here in Texas it really doesn’t feel like fall.

Thank you for the links, I’m excited to read the information overload and the romantic comedies one. Have a great weekend!

Interesting, as ever. Don’t think I’ll be doing a 90-day plan though. I have enough trouble sorting out a four-week dinner plan. I just know I’d have even more trouble if I didn’t!

The baby blanket is cute, and after all this information overload I’m off somewhere I can be mindless and re-charge my creativity!

I love that you featured McSweeney’s female romantic comedy lead list!
And fish tacos are always a good idea. Love the sound of lime slaw.
I’m a bit of a planning junkie so I’ll be looking into the 90-day plan.
Have a great weekend, hope you can get some apple picking in!

Haha, the list of female romantic comedy traits is great! Rom-coms tend to be my least favourite movie genre … without being conscious of this list, I suspect that’s the reason. I make an exception for “Love Actually” though.

Really enjoyed the article about too much stimulation stifling creativity.

Wishing you a great weekend. Hope the apple picking comes to “fruitition”.

Oh my, the female lead list is so funny!
I loved the ballet rotoscope, so beautiful.
I used to love apple picking in Canada. Hope you had a lovely week-end.

Ballet dancers are so graceful and work so hard. I watch a lot of their videos on IG. I have this picture I took of Jellybean when she was young and taking ballet. It’s the back of her as she waits for the in-studio recital to begin.

The fixing mistakes in lace knitting post was an eye opener! Maybe an intricate lace shawl will someday be a reality:) Love the crochet baby blanket and it looks like a pretty quick project too.
