My Favourite Pins This Week

If you are looking for an easy and super delicious meal to keep on hand in the fridge during the chaos that is the holidays, consider the low carb chicken curry salad recipe. It’s great on it’s own, or in a pita, or in a sandwich – and keeps in the fridge for about 4 days. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe is here.

I adore hot chocolate, and these cookies are very addictive! The mini marshmallows are great, but if you can’t find the mallow bits,  try either getting a hot chocolate mix that has them already in it, or a local bulk store like Bulk Barn or Trader Joes. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe can be found here.

It’s not too late to turn a boring old wooden bowl into something shiny and new! Anything you put into this is sure to look even more beautiful against the gold leaf interior. Pinterest link is here, and the original DIY can be found here.

I love the graphic quality of this super bulky jacquard throw pillow, and it knits up very quickly on 15mm needles. Plus you could customize the colours to match your decor! Maybe a good project to whip up over the holiday break? Pinterest link is here, and the full pattern and DIY can be found here.

I know it’s a little self serving, but if you missed it- peanut butter hot chocolate is truly a treat worth making for yourself! I’ve always been a  sucker for peanut butter and chocolate together. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe is here. 😉

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! I hope that you are done your shopping, and getting to relax a bit over the coming holiday break. There won’t be a Modification Monday this Monday, as I’ll be taking Christmas off. See you next week!

I saw that come recipe on Pinterest. It looks so good! I love the mini marshmallows. How neat to paint wooden bowls gold. I wonder though if food can touch it?

Merry Christmas Julie. Enjoy your time with your kiddos. Thank you for the fun links. I especially liked the what did you learn article. Such a great question. I’ll be thinking about that all week.

These animals pics are beyond cute, I just loved this little furry one having fun on a flower. I’m with you on the best decision trick: if things were really that simple, I think we would know by now. The whole “trust your gut” movement has limits, because your gut can be terribly, terribly wrong sometimes. It only works after a bit of life experience and maturity came your way, and even then, you can make mistakes. That being said, enjoy your time off. Take care.

Great links! Will definitely be whipping up the chicken curry salad recipe. I think it would be even more tasty with some golden raisins added in. I enjoyed the 7 tips for family togetherness article. With a large extended family such as mine, those tips will come in handy for sure.
