My Favourite Pins This Week

I know, it’s cold out and no one wants to eat salad when it’s cold outside, but let me try to change your mind! I love strawberries in salad, and the hot chicken (definitely serve it when the chicken is hot) helps warm the whole dish up. Besides, when was the last time you had a bowlful of colour for dinner/ Because this salad is not only delicious, it’s darn pretty, too. Pinterest link is here, and the recipe can be found here.

I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day, but who doesn’t love heart shaped desserts?! These homemade heart shaped pop tarts are so charming, I totally want to make them! And if anything heart shaped makes you want to gag, I’m sure the recipe would totally work for rectangles, triangles, whatever strikes your fancy. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe post is here.

I am dying to try this gold leaf purse upcycle, because it looks like it can make any sort of cheap looking purse instantly fabulous with the addition of those brushed gold spots. And of course, you can customize the metallic colour – wouldn’t silver, copper, or even roe gold look cool? And of course, this can look so different depending on the colour of the purse itself. Inspiring! Pinterest link is here, and the full DIY is here.

I normally hate pinning anything that doesn’t go back to a decent source, but I am utterly besotted with this wintery pine needle and bead embroidery. The link goes nowhere (it will just download the jpg to your computer if you click on it) but I’m still entranced – it looks very simple to replicate. Wouldn’t this look amazing on a coat, or a sweater? Pinterest link is here.

Crocheters! How cute is this little amigurumi bunny with a hoodie?! The pattern is free, and I feel like if you got start now, you could probably make a small army of them in time for Easter. And so many colour variations for the bunnies and the clothes! Pinterest link is here, full pattern is here.
I’m starting to feel a fair bit better and have begun doing normal things (like leaving the house) again! I’m still really tired (and still have the lingering cough), but it’s more manageable. I’m still taking it pretty easy, but it feels good to be getting out once in a while. Here’s hoping that the weekend is wonderful for all of you, and that you are all staying healthy!
