My Favourite Pins This Week

I know seven layer dip is not thought of as a main, but the rules on meals are pretty flexible now, don’t you think? You could dip veggies or pita bread into it, and that is a totally legitimate dinner, if you ask me. Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is over here.

I have long been interested in the magic layer cake idea – one bowl of batter that, when baked, magically transforms into a three layer cake! And it only takes 6 ingredients (not including berries and whipped cream) which would really make this even more lovely. Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is here.

These pretty little pot holders are such a cute idea, and I love how you could use all kind of yarn to make them – they’d be pretty outside, too! It’s something a little different for the leftovers in your yarn stash, and such a pretty and summery DIY. Pinterest link is here, and the full instructions are over here.

Looking for a breezy hot weather crochet project? This pretty and airy crocheted poncho (wrap? cardigan?) would be lovely. It’s a free pattern from Woods & Wool, and could be just the thing you are looking to make, perhaps? Pinterest link is here, and the full pattern post is here.

If you are looking for some great new books to read, this wonderful roundup of contemporary books (So, no historical fiction here) by black women authors is full of gems. Pinterest link is here, and the full list is here.
It feels like it’s been a hard week for a lot of us. Do something that gives you peace, and be sure to expand your reading. xo
