My Favourite Pins This Week

When I was in my twenties, I lived a few blocks away from a beautiful little italian restaurant that made an angel hair puttanesca that tasted like absolute heaven. The ingredients for this- I know, there are anchovies! Famously hated anchovies! But they really, really do add a gloriously rich, salty, umami flavour profile to this that takes a really good pasta dish to the next level. You won’t even know they are in there, they are so finely chopped and it’s doesn’t make the dish even remotely fishy. Just a little magical. Of course you can still make it with everything but the anchovies and it will still be a really good dish. I’d just add more olives to compensate. Pinterest link is here, and the recipe can be found here.

I have never tried making a jelly roll style cake before but this one has be absolutely drooling- it looks beautiful, and the step-by-step tutorial makes it look easy! This would be easy, right? I could do this, I think. Possible Easter weekend baking project! Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe and instructions are here.

This beautiful dogwood flower crochet pattern feels perfect for spring! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to make a bunch of these, and then attach them to bare, discarded tree branches and display them in a vase? SO PRETTY. Pinterest link is here, and the free crochet pattern can be found right over here.

Speaking of DIY spring flowers, you could do the same thing with tissue paper! I think that this would be a pretty craft to try, as well. And depending on how quickly you can crochet, faster too. Pinterest link is here, and the full tutorial is here.

If you are itching to do a home DIY to change up your space, then you should check out this great round up of DIY headboards.  loved so many of them! While some look far more complicated than others, there’s definitely something here for almost every style. Some really beautiful idas- the book one is my fave! Pinterest link is here, and the full list is here.

Have a gorgeous weekend, everyone! It’s been a week of gloriously warm spring weather here in Toronto, but the forecast is now calling for a LOT of rain. Might be a very indoorsy, crafty sort of weekend around here. But I hope that if you are not in Toronto, you have sunshine and can enjoy a bit of spring. One good thing about the rain- at least I know next week the spring flowers will be looking pretty good!
