Pin Ups: Candy dipped Oreos | knittedbliss.com

Lately, I’m really smitten with the idea of decorated cookies, and I love these pretty vanilla Oreos that have been dipped in candy coating and sprinkles. Don’t they look like they would be perfect for a birthday party? Pinterest link is here, and the original post is here.

Pin Ups: blackberry bbq sauce| knittedbliss.com

I was looking for a great barbecue recipe, and came across this recipe for blackberry barbecue sauce. The flavour combos just scream summer, and while it has some ingredients I’m not familiar with, I’m planning on straining the blackberries and cutting out the coconut aminos and erythritol (I’ll have to google what that is). I love the idea of a fruity barbecue sauce! Pinterest link is here, original post is here.

Pin Ups: DIY rope basket | knittedbliss.com

This tutorial for making your own woven rope basket looks very straightforward, and while it makes a small basket, I think once you get the hang of it, you could make much bigger baskets, too. Pinterest link is here, and the original post is here.

Pin Ups: yogurt parfait | knittedbliss.com

Have any brunch plans this weekend? Maybe you should make this layered yogurt and granola parfait. Healthy, delicious, and awesome. and you could make small ones in cups, instead of a big one- if you just wanted to make it for you or your family this weekend. Pin Ups: DIY Countertop Herb Garden | knittedbliss.com

This is a lovelyDIY for a countertop herb garden that uses simple recycled cans, a terra cotta tray and stones for a pretty drainage solution.  What an attractive idea for planting all those amazing herbs that for sale at every garden center and corner store (at least here in Toronto!)  even if you don’t have an outdoor garden.  Greenery for everyone! And convenient fresh herbs at the ready. Pinterest link is here, and original post is here.

This weekend is a long weekend in Canada, I’m hoping for some good weather and a chance to spend time outside, although the weather reports indicate a mixed bag, and definitely some rain. We have no plans at all, which feels really freeing but I also feel like we should ‘do something’ with the weekend to feel like we are making the most of it. Suggestions?
