Everything you own is a relationship you are in. I really enjoyed this article, which succinctly explains how hard it is to implement the famous The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, but how rewarding it can be when you ask yourself, ‘what does it feel like to own this?’
I loved this instagram about dialling back what we are consuming on the internet. I often feel like I’m struggling to keep up with all the social media channels and blogs and things that I’d like to see. This sort of felt like a permission note from the universe to just let that go and not worry about it.
Finding the courage to move from “What will people think?” to “I am enough” isn’t easy. I think a lot of us can identify with this.
You all saw yesterday’s review of the fantastic Brooklyn Tweed Fall 2015 Collection, right?
And don’t forget- today is the first day of the Instagram #CraftyBlissChallenge ! Melissa and I are so excited to see your photos! And even if you don’t have instagram, you can check out the photos everyone is posting and follow along here. As a reminder, the prompts are below:

Now that it’s apple season, how amazing would these apple pie bars be? I love it when a classic dessert gets a fresh reboot, and there is something so much more approachable about a dessert bar than a slice of pie. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe post is here.

Here is a very healthy and low calorie slow cooker dinner idea- full of flavour and loaded with veggies! This chickpea coconut curry with sweet potatoes recipe can be served over rice, or even quinoa. Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe post is here.

Do you love frappes? Then here is the perfect healthy at-home recipe for you- it’s nothing but cold coffee, a frozen banana, milk, and vanilla all blended together to perfection. And if you are like my husband, a shot of chocolate syrup makes it even tastier! Pinterest link is here, and the original recipe is here.

I have been loving some of the cool crafts I’ve seen on Pinterest involving giving plastic animals a revamp. How pretty is this trinket dish? And if you click through, you see how it looks in black, too. Pinterest link is here, and the original DIY is here.

I’m not much for sewing, but this beautiful little doll (with wardrobe!) would be a really sweet toy to sew for a special little girl. And hey, it’s never too early to start on holiday gifts, right? Pinterest link is here, and full DIY with patterns can be found here.
Any plans for the weekend? My in-laws are visiting, so lots of family fun on the schedule for us! Hopefully the weather will stay warm, it’s been summer temps all week!
