My Favourite Articles and Links This Week

I loved this article about scent and perfumes. Reminded me how much I love fragrance.

This is fascinating- follow one rain drop to the ocean. It’s American-focused, but still incredible!

5 important questions to ask yourself.

Also, if you like embroidery hoops but aren’t really into hanging them on the wall, I’ve got hoop stands in the shop now! All natural beechwood stands, perfect for displaying hoops on a shelf or table. New kits for summer are launching next week!

My Favourite Pins This Week

These Mediterranean chickpea bowls are wonderful summer meal idea, and work great as both dinner and lunch. It’s full of veggies- lots of tomatoes and spinach, but you could easily substitute any veggies you wanted or had lying round. I love how it’s a one pot and super easy- then a bit of rice to go with it and you’re golden! I have a rice cooker that I’ve had for years and adore- it makes things so much easier to just have the rice doing its own thing and being just right over to the side while I make the delicious thing that’s going on top of it. I think you’d love this dish! Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe can be found right over here.

This summer berry lemon meringue trifle is a wonderful summer dessert just waiting to happen! Perfect for a weekend inner outside, right? You can use store bought pound cake to really speed up the process, and the berry would be good with blackberries or blueberries too- here it has strawberries and raspberries. But It’ll work with all the berries! I’m a huge fan of those berry-tastic summer dessert, can you tell? Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is here.

This was such  great tutorial that has me thinking about fun wallpaper ideas- how to make any wallpaper removeable! Naturally, removing wallpaper can be a lot of work, so it’s a big decision to put it anywhere, but if you knew it would come right off without steaming and scraping? Well, that opens up a whole new world of wallpapering possibilities! Pinterest link is here, and the full tutorial is here.

I loved seeing this amazing tutorial for making Tawashi sponges out of leftover scraps of jersey (or t shirt material for any t-shirts you have that are not even in good enough shape to donate!) and would be such a fun scrubby for dishes, and great for gifting to friends, too! Pinterest link is here, and the full tutorial is over here.

I love this quote. It’s so true, and a great reminder that we’re whole no matter what. Pinterest link is here, and the original source is here.

Lately I’ve been finding it more and more difficult to find interesting pins – either on Pinterest or just around the internet- which makes me feel like all the crafts have been tutorialized, all the recipes tweaked and made. It’s an odd feeling- I know it can’t possibly be true, but it is is harder to find great content to share! Please know that when I skip a week here and there, it’s to avoid putting out something blah, so I can hopefully make a better round up for the following week.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone! And if you have tips for finding inspiration, let me know in the comments!
