My Favourite Pins This Week

Planning on having people over soon? These cheesy, delicious rolls have some veg in them, so you won’t feel completely devastated when you inhale the pan of these…. they come together easily because you don’t even have to make the dough from scratch- it’s the easy-to-use crescent roll dough. Just read through the ingredients and tell me that you don’t want one of these in your face right this second. Go on, I’ll wait. Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe can be found here.

This cookie dough fudge is a great idea for a dessert tray, a hostess gift, or just any old random day of the week- because you deserve fudge! The recipe is really straightforward, even if you’ve never made fudge before. Pinterest link is here, and the recipe is right over here.

Keeping with the entertaining theme, this twist on the classic French 75 cocktail looks perfect for the holidays- or anytime you can get your hands on some cranberries, really. That gorgeous red and pink colour to it makes it seem perfect for the holidays- freeze the cranberries in advance, and then they are not only a pretty garnish, they’ll keep the drink cold, too. Pinterest link is here, and the recipe details are here.

This crochet chain and pom pom garland would be SO pretty for the holidays, wouldn’t it? You could keep it simple, like in this warm white, or do it up in any colour you desire- or make the pom poms ALL the colours! I can imagine that this is pretty on a tree, a mantle, a staircase bannister…. everywhere! Pinterest link is here, and the full post is here.

I’m not a huge fan of the self-care movement, but this is a great list of quick, easy things that are actually doable — as opposed to the many lists I see on Pinterest of “25 self care things you should be doing every day”, or lists of “50 things to do on Sunday to set yourself up for your best week” which make me think that self-care is actually a conspiracy to keep women distracted from focusing on issues that really matter to them. But I digress! This list is doable, and many items are about prepping the night before, getting your butt moving in the morning, and focusing on one goal for the day. Totally reasonable. Pinterest link is here, and the full list is here.
We have a busy weekend planned here of hosting friend for various meals, none of which are Thanksgiving. But to all my American friends – Happy Thanksgiving!
