Mods: Changed the gauge to knit a summery, lightweight version in linen, and added a matching tank top to make a twin set. Project page can be found here.

What Makes This Awesome:  Regina did something so very smart with this modification- she made a different weight version of two knits she had already knitted before. Modifying a pattern that you have already knitted once before is definitely easier, and gives you a lot of insight into how you can most effectively make changes. I love this summery, linen version that she chose to do; and the matching tank top was created by following the pattern for the back portion only for Maja-Kiito. I love the idea of taking a pattern (or patterns!)  and knitting them in an opposite weight-  taking a worsted weight and making it lightweight and  airy for summer, or summery pattern  done up in a warm Aran weight. Looking at knits as inspiring as this great twin set has my mind racing!
