What Makes This Awesome: I love how Debbie took this pattern’s cute factor to a while new level by incorporating some classic sock monkey appeal. the stripe at the cuff, the intarsia mouth, and the added on ears and button eyes create a whole new dimension to the pattern. In keeping with the sock monkey idea, it was wise to choose thrums that closely match the main yarn colour, which prevents the design from feeling overwhelmed. Why knit slippers when you can knit amazing sock monkey slippers, right? I have this pattern in my queue, and this fun take on it has me looking at a bit differently now!
