If you haven’t seen it on Instagram, I have a free pattern and an essay in the latest issue of Taddle Creek.

I wrote an essay on gardening (more accurately, an essay on what makes a life well spent and the legacies we leave behind) and designed a pattern that I felt expressed everything I wrote in knitted stitches. So let me introduce you to Orwell’s Garden Cowl.

It’s knit with Lichen and Lace 80/20 sock and is perfect for the mini skeins that they have available, but also would be pretty good for stashbusting, it doesn’t take a lot of yardage. You can check out the details of the yardage on Ravelry here, or on the essay and pattern site.
