Some beautiful autumn colours that so remind me of the tweed flecks in the yarn (taken from the window of a plane on a recent work trip to Quebec City), and my handsome kitty, Gatsby. He totally matches!

Some of you who follow me on Instagram saw that actually I have two WIPs on the go, but today I’ll just talk about Shaw Hill,  a wonderfully lush cabled cowl that I’m super excited to finish! After rambling about my craving for a tweed yarn in this post, I can now say that I really adore this tweed yarn, which is Adriafil Scozia. It’s crazy soft, and I love the variety of colour in the tweed flecks-  if you look closely you can see little bits of bright green, fuchsia, turquoise, as well as the usual tweedy bits of cream and brown. I’ll definitely be using this yarn again- I’d love to knit a whole sweater in it.  And look at that lovely sea of rippling cables! It’s so squishy soft, and I haven’t even blocked it yet. I’m planning on doing FO (finished object) photos this weekend, hopefully there will still be some pretty leaves on the trees- they have been dropping pretty fast around here.
