My Favourite Pins This Week

Thai lettuce wraps are perfect for when you are craving bright flavours, and lots of veg – lettuce is actually an amazing vehicle for tasty snacks! Not just for reducing calories or carbs, it really is nice to have the crispness of lettuce counter the wonderful textures inside. While this recipe calls for sweet potatoes and cauliflower, it’s easy to substitute other veggies, as well. Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is right over here.

I adore magic cookie bars soooo much! Just the perfect combo of all my favourite flavours. This take on the recipe has an oatmeal cookie base, which I love. You guys remember how much I love coconut and chocolate, right? Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe can be found here.

Perfect for sustaining cotton yarn AND reducing disposable items like dishcloths, paper towels, and face wipes, these crochet scrubbies and washcloths are perfect for getting your lifestyle a bit greener. Not to mention you can use them in the kitchen, and for washing your face/removing make up- just maybe not the same ones, right? A set for the kitchen and a set for the bathroom would be perfect! This is a time when you want the cotton yarn to be 100% cotton, and don’t worry about tossing them into the machine- they’ll be fine, if maybe just a tiny bit smaller! Pinterest link is here, and the full crochet DIY post is here.

I’ve seen my fair share of embroidery thread wrapped earrings, but I honestly never get tired of them- so many customizing possibilities! Also great if you have a lightweight fingering or laceweight yarn that you love, you could do the same technique to wrap the hoops. Pinterest link is here, and the full DIY post is here.

If you are feeling the pinch after the holidays, this is a great month-long challenge to get your finances in shape and get a handle on your spending. You’ll be plugging leaks in your spending and paying off debt, and who doesn’t want more of that money saving magic in their lives? Pinterest link is here, and the full challenge is here. Even if you did just half of these items, you’d be in better financial shape.

Have an amazing weekend, everyone! I hope you are staying healthy, and that you take the time to do something you love today. xo

I’ve been reading vegan/vegetarian cookbooks from the library-I’m amazed at the versatility of lettuce wraps..Never thought about using red curry paste as a RUB! .I’m giving this recipe a try with cashews/cashew butter- one of the people in the house has peanut allergies.
