Original Pattern: LochÂ
Knitter Extraordinaire: Lisa (Ravelry ID)
Mods: Having previously knit the Loch hat, Lisa wanted to knit the mittens to match- but changed the mittens to fingerless mitts that are longer and more customized. Details can be found on her project page, here.
What Makes This Awesome: There are a lot of really thoughtful details on this mod. I especially like that she made them longer, and extended the stitch pattern before the wrist, instead of just adding a lot more ribbing. It gives this mitts a really elegant look, and are no doubt the length that she really wanted! Coupled with adjusting the thumb location and working hard to get that perfect fingerless mitt bind off (too loose and it gets all wavy like cooked bacon, too tight and you cut off the blood flow to you finger), these turned out so beautifully!!

Really beautiful! Reminds me that I’ve been wanting a new pair of mittens for a long time now. The yarn is lovely too.
These are Gorgeous! I have to make some!!!
I love longer fingerless mitts, especially if they’re lacework.
Happy New Year My Beautiful Friend ✨
