The anatomy of annoying.

This rocking chair can knit you a hat.

Don’t let your career define who you are.

This was such fascinating quiz on what the best solutions are for climate change – and I thought I knew my stuff, but I only scored 34.4%. I had no idea what sort of activities have the biggest impact!

Not a surprise at all, but unpaid internships at companies feed into income inequality. So if you are in a position to pay an intern, please do so.

You what I love? Tacos. And you know what’s even better? Taco salad! All the tastiness of a taco, but in salad form, so you feel like you are totally being healthy. And you are, because there’s definitely lettuce in there. Also, taco salad is so delicious, and if you haven’t made it before I really recommend! Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is here.

This spiced zucchini and carrot bread tasted like dessert that is perfect for fall, but is definitely using up those carrots and zucchinis you probably have in your fridge. And when cake has tiny grated veggies in it, it’s totally healthy and you should totally have a second slice. Pinterest link is here, and the recipe is right over here.

How adorable is this crochet hanging basket?! I mean, putting a super cute puppy in it doesn’t hurt either, but this would be so amazing for storage, plants, toy baskets, laundry bags, etc. Pinterest link is here, and the full crochet pattern is here.

I love the DIY for these simple felt roses, they are so beautiful and would look lovely as headbands, hair elastic decorations gift toppers, ornaments, or anything else you can think of! You’ll definitely be spending some time tracing out the template and cutting out the felt, but it’s really simple- an ideal craft for while watching a movie or binging a new show. Pinterest link is here, and the full DIY is here.

This is worth printing out an putting somewhere where you can see it every day. Because our lives are built by our actions and what we do, not what we say we are going to do. This is tagged as @hellooctober but I did a deep dive on both a twitter account of that name and an instagram account of that name, and didn’t find the original source- so it may have been deleted. But hey, this is still worth having. Pinterest link is here.

When I was in a position to do something about unpaid internships, you better believe I was loud and clear on advocating against them. My opinion on that was not appreciated by the business owner at the time, though, because, he loved the idea of free labour. Our difference of opinion became one of the reasons I ultimately decided our styles were too different for us to continue working together. Needless to say, I totally believe that not paying, or underpaying, anybody is just not fair or ethical. Haha, I could go on and on about this topic, but I won’t fill up your comment section with it!

Really enjoyed the article and quiz about climate change. So interesting and inspiring.

Julie- stopped by the blog with my coffee cup at the ready- I do love our Friday visits..and you weren’t here. Knowing how much of yourself is here, it’s IMPORTANT things that keep you from being able to stop in at the blog.
Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and sending all things good your way.
Can’t wait till we get to visit again.
