Original Pattern: Ease
Knitter Extraordinaire: Michelle (Ravelry profile)
Mods: Michelle modified tee Ease pattern to be a Harry Potter inspired Hufflepuff house sweater, with the scoop neck version (no funnel neck) , added thumb holes to the sleeves and customized the sleeve decreases and stripes. Details can be found on her project page, here.
What Makes This Awesome: Ah, Harry Potter knits- they are SO satisfying! Not just to knit, but also to see in the wild. I love this Hufflepuff Hogwarts sweater, the customization is phenomenal and it looks so much like what I imagine to be the real Hufflepuff sweaters! Michelle left off the funnel neck of the original design to create a scoop neck, customized the sleeves and added a thumbhole to increase the cozy of a really long sleeved sweater like this. School sweater ideas like this are a fantastic idea- and how cute is the Hufflepuff patch that was added?
It’s worth taking a look at the original design, and seeing how versatile it could be- this scoop neck version show how it can look without the funnel neck, and the ability to add stripes (even selectively like on this gorgeous knit) can change the appearance drastically. Think of the possibilities- maybe even some fair isle designs worked into it? The options are endless….

I love how the stripes can transform the whole look. And so helpful to see the scoop version. I am always looking for just the right raglan/neckline fit and will Favorite this for future inspiration.
Turned out so beautiful!

This sweater is beautiful! Also, I love a Harry Potter-inspired knit as well. Personally, I am a Ravenclaw kind of gal but the Hufflepuff is so charming too! Love this.
Love neckline. But….thin stripes is considered Muggle version of the true house. I am in the middle of doing the scarves. I got a lesson on the fact that thin stripes on anything means it was made by a muggle. Only thick stripes are meant for true witches. I hope Mrs. Weezle will be pleased with my scarves. 1 Gryffendor, 3 Slytherin and 1 Ravenclaw. Each at least 5 ft. long. I am learning to hate straight knitting. Linda
