My Favourite Articles and Links This Week
I had a poem recently featured on Poetry Pause! It’s called Viral, but funnily enough I wrote it years before the pandemic. Give it a read, won’t you?
You saw this jaw-dropping Crochert art installation, right? So fantastic.
Notting Hill is one of my favourite romantic comedies EVER (tied with the original Bridgit Jones movie), so I was pretty excited to see this essay about how it is also really celebrates staying at home.
I can’t begin to describe how much I loved this. “I recommend eating chips.“
You know what I did recently? I typed the word ‘Easter’ into the search bar on my blog and found two posts that I had completely forgotten about but are actually still awesome! Check out this post for a great round up of small knitting patterns for bunnies, chicks, lambs, and eggs. And then remember when I made Peeps hot chocolate? It was awesome. I’m going to do it again this year!
My Favourite Pins This Week

The baked feta pasta dinner trend (hard to believe dinner can be trendy, but but it is truly delicious!) is hitting it’s natural evolutiont o have different varities, and this roasted veggie version is delicious and healhy, and you can easily substitute veg as you need. Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe can be found right over here.

Now I love mini eggs in all seasons and at any time of year, but if you are looking for a delicious seasonal dessert, this would be a fantastic one. You could use store-bought brownie for the cake portion, or even just omit it all together if you wanted.- pudding or mousse, layers of crushed mini eggs and whipped cream- it’s going to be dreamy no matter what! Pinterest link is here, and the full recipe is right over here.

Bunny pom poms! Isn’t this so freaking adorable? What a fun little thing to drop off on a friend’s doorstep, or just to make for yourelf and keep near your computer for a work-from-home pet. Pinterest link is here, and the full instructions can be found here.

This bright and happy yarn wreath is such a cute idea- it’s made with yarn and an embroidery hoop! You could also make it in a solid colour, like an off white, which would be pretty, too! Possibilities! Pinterest link is here, and the full DIY is over here.

I love this adorable – and -easy- embroidered bunny design! The instructions show it embroidered on a tote bag, which is very pretty, but you you ocould embroider this sweet bunny just about anywhere! This is a great way to try out some embroidery, and stitch a sweet, happy design for free. Pinterest link is here, and the full instructions and template can be found here.
I hope you all have a great weekend! The last two weeks have been really busy for me- I am at the home stretch of the new spring designs for the embroidery kits, and I had some deadlines to get the samples ready for test stitchers for the past couple of Fridays, which has had me frantically finishing the stitching and the instruction sheets. Also changing up a the packaging a little bit, and adding a needle threader to all kits. Ghat was a harder one to find, since my goal is to have the kits plastic-free nd as environmentally friendly as possible, and most needle threaders are plastic. But I did find some!
Now the third (there are 3 related new kits coming!) is done and all the test stitchers have their test kits and are stitching! So that feels like there’s a little more breathing room in the schedule. At least for the next little bit! I hope you all enjoy some sunshine, and a good book, and your favourite crafts this weekend.

OMG. The chip essay. I keep grabbing family members and reading parts of it to them. Hilarious!
I know, right?! I still haven’t closed the tab with that chip essay, I keep rereading it – SO GOOD!
Congrats on your poem. How gratifying is that? Love the imagery. So very much of our times.
Your poem is so good! You’re very talented and also very modest about your impressive way with words. Congratulations on having it featured.
An awesome selection of links. You always find such interesting things online. You must constantly have a bunch of tabs open, as described in the chip essay!
