Meet the Sponsors: November Edition!

It’s a whole new crop of beautiful goodies from the Knitted Bliss sponsors! Take a look at all this month’s awesomeness:

Meet the Sponsors: Fuzzy Mitten | knittedbliss.com

Name: Fuzzy Mitten

What She is All About: Barbara designs utterly adorable knitted animal toys, and has patterns for all sorts of clothing for them, too! They are great value, as every pattern comes with instructions for more than just the animal- there’s always something for them to wear, or an accessory or two. All are exceptionally priced, and I doubt you’ll find anything cuter or as good a deal for knitted toy patterns. She is currently running a mystery KAL of a new little creature and an outfit- It’s just been revealed, and is so awesome!

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right:  The newest pattern available is the super adorable Fudge the Dog, which was originally exclusive as a kit in Knit Now Magazine, but is now available for individual purchase! I loved this pattern so much the second I saw it, I actually ordered the magazine and kit from the UK, just so I could have it. Next is this sweet little baby orangutan, which looks perfect knit in a rusty orange yarn that has some fuzziness to it, and the there is this baby penguin, who is all ready for the winter ahead!

Meet the Sponsors: Sweet Sheep | knittedbliss.com

Name: Sweet Sheep Body Shoppe

What She is All About: Alicia makes luxurious all-natural lotion bars and lip balms using skin-loving ingredients like lanolin, cocoa butter, almond oil, and vitamin E and mango butter. If you haven’t tried a lotion bar before you are missing out! it’s non-greasy and great for air travel (none of this liquid limit problem on planes, where the air is super drying).

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: This Tropical Surprise soap has a honey base and smells like the exotic vacation that you wish you could take right now.  Alicia makes some of my favorite lip balm ever, and this classic lavender scent is super moisturizing.  Then for her lotion bars, you have to smell Carnation– it’s not at all fussy, but spicy and sweet.

Meet the Sponsors: Bijou Basin Ranch | knittedbliss.com

Name: Bijou Basin Ranch

What They Are All About: Carl and Eileen have a family-run Yak ranch in Colorado. They sell amazing yak fiber and yarns that are both 100% yak and blended with other fibers (like bamboo or merino) to give the yarn strength and variety. And if you haven’t tried yak fiber before, you are missing out- it’s very soft and very good for those that have wool allergies. And if you want free shipping (who doesn’t want free shipping?!) Use the coupon code “KNITBLISS” at checkout!

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right:  The Oddessy Cowl Kit  is one spectacular kit- it contains 1-2 skeins of yarn in the colourway of your choice, a stunning project bag, needles, pattern (by Laura Chau), stitch markers and allure fine fiber wash. That’s quite the kit! Like to knit with laceweight? This rich Pomegranate colourway of Seraphim laceweight (95% angora, 5% viscose) is perfect for winter lace knitting. Then there are the Lhasa Wilderness (yak and bamboo blend) fingering weight custom colourways from Lattes & Llamas, this rich and earthy ‘Treasure’ colourway is so inspiring.

What She is All About: Megan hand dyes gorgeous tonals and variegated yarns in a variety of fingering weight bases (some with luxurious cashmere, some with a bit of sparkle), as well as laceweight and DK. Lots of fresh, original colour combinations to be found in her shop, with some brights and some dark and mysterious. And you can use code KNITTEDBLISS15 for 10% off your order, big or small!

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: Hand dyed sparkle sock yarn in ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, which is a blend of merino, nylon and stellina; and absolutely beautiful.  Then there is the super soft merino cashmere sock yarn in ‘Equidistant’, such a fresh and pretty variegated yarn.  And for those that are really into blues, this ‘Skylight’ colourway in merino sock yarn is pretty bloody awesome.

Meet the Sponsors: Knit Plat Colour | knittedbliss.com

Name: Knit Play Colour, by Louise Zass-Bangham

What She is All About:  Louise has created a really inspiring collection (both as an e-book and printed book) of ten accessory patterns, all of which include a variety of techniques or ideas to alter them and make them entirely your own. If you have always wanted to try modifying knitting patterns but didn’t quite know where to start, this is the collection for you.

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: The Affinity Shawl has lots of options- stripes, stripes with a variegated yarn, lace, or beads! The Trailblazer scarf is a perfect shawl/scarf hybrid, with a gentle crescent shape – can be knit in fingering or DK, and I’m really biased about this one because I just knit it and I think it’s utterly fantastic. The Resonate Cowl has lovely undulating waves, and could be knit in stripes with two colours, or use mini skeins, or destash and use up some compatible colours. Lots of options!

A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: Leave-Me-Not is a beautiful lacy shawl with a pretty leaf motif is timeless and would be a perfect accessory for just about anyone. The Hug my Tight cowl is a fascinating knit with great thick cables, and you know it would look awesome peeking out from your winter coat. The Straight Arrow hat is the ultimate hat for everyone- sizes run from baby all the way through to adult, and is completely unisex. It’s going to be your new go-to hat pattern.
