Original Patterns: Min Ulla Scarf and Toasty Socks
Knitter Extraordinaire: Anne (Ravelry ID)
Mods: Combined the scarf pattern for the stranded design into the leg, and used a heart chart of her own design as well as the toasty socsk pattern for the foot. Project page can be found here.
What Makes This Awesome: Anne has found a great simple sock pattern (toasty socks) that she enjoys knitting, fits her feet, and provides a great blank canvas to allow her to play around with the design. Using the great fair isle charts from the original scarf pattern, she incorporated those into the leg, adding length. And the finish touch? The red soles and hearts! Knit up in a classic red and white colour combo keeps the design from seeming too busy or overwhelming. Â Wouldn’t these be so toasty to wear this winter?

Those are amazing!
knee socks are my favorite! Thanks for this link–I’m always looking for good patterns 🙂
absolutely gorgeous mod!! jenny xx
Those look so cuddly for winter! I love the red and white, but I’d be so terrified of getting them dirty 😛
SO adorable! I love the hearts especially.
I bought the Min Ulla pattern ages ago and still want to make the whole set in rainbow colors. Wouldn’t that be fun?
I’m having so much sock envy just looking at these, simply stunning. Especially those hearts are fantastic!
