Original Pattern: Tecumseh
Knitter Extraordinaire: Sarah (Ravelry Profile)
Mods: Knitted slightly smaller sleeves, steeked the pullover into a cardigan and then added buttons! Details are on her project page, here.
What Makes This Awesome: I’ve seen lots of beautiful Tecumseh sweaters, but doesn’t it look so AMAZING in cardigan form?! I love Sarah’s cardigan version, and by knitting it in the round and steeking it she made very few modifications while knitting, and then made most of the modifications afterwards, via steeking. This is a fantastic idea if you have knitted a sweater and then aren’t sure if you love it as a pullover- what about turning it into a cardigan?!
I know that steeking can seem scary if you haven’t tried it before- but a) there are loads of tutorials out three- have a google, check out YouTube, and you’ll find lots of great info. And then b) go for it! If you aren’t loving your pullover and have a bit of extra yarn for button bands, get brave and try it out. You’ve got nothing to lose, and valuable knitting skill experience to gain!

What a great mod!!
A beautiful cardigan! True, steeking is not as scary as it looks, but requires a lot of finishing. She did a great job, and I love the color scheme she used.
