Knitter’s Gift Guide: 2014 Edition

Happy December 1st! Looking for some gift ideas for a fellow knitter? Or maybe you want to just email a link to this page to your family and friends, and let them know what you want this year.
Here are my top 20+ picks for knitterly gifts this year, at every price point!
(a note on the items: I chose all the items on this page, some of which are from the shops of KB sponsors over there on the right, and others who have no idea they are even on this page or that I even like their stuff. Surprises abound! All items are available to purchase online,  therefore all items will have additional charge for shipping)

A special gift- you’re probably besties or related: $75-$45
A gift bundle for a fledgling designer, a heavy duty tote with a knitting line design, Some great kits- one for a knitted plaid hat and another for a gorgeous pair of mittens- that have everything needed to get started on a knit today; a fabulously sheepy sweater that Mindy Kaling wore on The Mindy Project, or a hand loom to try something new. Who wouldn’t love to unwrap gifts like these?!

Here are some ideas for a knitter who knows their stuff- amazing gradient handwarmer kit (yarn and pattern included) that keeps their fingers free for yet more knitting, a great project bag that keeps yarn organized while knitting 2 at a time socks/ stripes, colourwork, or just alternating skeins when using hand dyed yarn on a bigger project. What about helping a special someone have warm toes with a super cozy slipper sock kit (yarn, roving, and pattern included)? Maybe their circular needles are a crazy octopus jumble and need some organization!

Great, great selection. I would love anything on this list, or should I say everything? But if I had to choose only one, it would be the hand loom. I would love to try weaving on a small scale. Maybe I will gift it to my daughter, so that I can also use it 😉 She tried weaving in one of our local LYS and she loved it. Thanks for all these great ideas.

Without a doubt, my top choice would be the TFA Year in Colour Yarn Club. What a joy it would be to receive gorgeous yarns and patterns all through 2015 (hint hint to my hubby).

Oh, man! What great choices! Sadly Harmless is one of my favorite illustrators, so that would be amazing. That circular needle organizer looks great, I always struggle to keep my circulars in any kind of order. And goodness knows I love nerdy themed yarn, and I’ve never seen that Firefly one before!

Wow what a great list of gift ideas! I’d love all of them but I think my favourite would be the thrummed knitting kit, mostly because I’ve never attempted knitting with thrums.

OMG, those knitting narwhals. I need them. I also really want that TFA gift set…

Umm.. totally sending this post through to my husband hahaha 😉 I love all of your ideas. I have had that Narwhal print on my wishlist for the longest time now. Combines my love of narwhals and knitting.. maybe it’s time for a gift to myself 😉

I’m a huge fan of project bags for gifts this year — including for myself! There are so many on Etsy and at holiday craft fairs. With the number of WIPs in my stash, I can use all the bags I can get =)

What a selection! There is something for every knitter! Those mood-ring style stitch markers are SO pretty! And I didn’t know there is a Ravelry themed nail polish set – how awesome is that?!

Can I have all of these on my Christmas list? 😛
    Great present ideas!

Those stitch holders are must haves! One thing I didn’t see on your list that is my go-to gift for knitters is Grellow & Gray’s Sirka counter. It counts three things at once and has revolutionized knitting for me.

If I had a studio or frankly just a little more wall space then that print would have to come live with me!
