This dinner idea is full of summery flavours – Coleslaw! Barbecue chicken! Sweet potatoes! I am unclear on what whole30 or paleo really means, but this is a delicious summer dinner, and who doesn’t need more of that? I also just use store-bought pickles, and store-bought coleslaw dressing, because time is precious, friends. I’d rather be eating than cooking! Find the great recipe here.

Coffee can really add some serious richness to desserts, but in these coffee brownies, they are a star flavour! So if coffee desserts are your jam, these are going to be just perfect. They would also be great to bring to a friend, too! The recipe can be found right over here.

I adored Orange Julius as a kid, and I’m excited to find a recipe that holds up! I won’t go to this much effort just to make one, but for a little gathering or the family, absolutely. Chuck all the ingredients in a blender and you’re good to go! Find the recipe here.

I’m a little obsessed with this big floral afghan pattern- it’s free from Yarnspirations, and looks like such a pretty summer crochet project – and a perfect summer afghan for chilly porch evenings. I bet it could even be great for stashbusting a lot of worsted weight yarn, too! The free crochet pattern can be found here.

These oversized floor cushions are perfect for summer crafting, and would be great indoors or out. I can see these coming in handy on a patio deck when having people over, and great for kids and teens who like to sprawl. Find the free sewing pattern right here.
I hope you are having a lovely week! The kids are ramping up for their last week of school before summer vacation, and they are full of anticipation! Here’s wishing you a relaxing weekend, with a refreshing beverage and all kinds of crafting.

That essay was funny af. Thanks for sharing it. I would not have found it on my own.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it- Irby is hilarious, right?!
Yes to owning what you like! I long ago decided to push back at the concept of the “guilty pleasure,” and routinely object to the term any time it comes up. I refuse to feel guilty about the things I enjoy — at least not for reasons like they’re kinda dumb. Who cares? Not everything has to be cerebral, fancy, elegant or whatever. Some stuff can just be dumb and f*cking delightful, and no one owes anyone an apology for it.
