What Makes This Awesome: The neckline of a sweater has a massive impact on it’s wear-ability- if you don’t feel comfortable in it, or you don’t feel it’s flattering on you,then you probably aren’t going to wear the sweater much. And if you’ve spent all that time knitting a beautiful modern aran like this one, you want to wear it. Susan cane up with a great solution- the original neckline wasn’t working for her, Â so she added a bit more coverage at the back of the neck with short rows, and added this beautiful funnel neck. The style works perfectly with this sweater- timeless and flattering, just like an aran should be.
It’s the beauty of knitting, isnt it? If some pattern isnt working, you can change it! What a lovely and classic sweater – something you could enjoy wearing for literally the next 20-30 years!
I love this mod-I’d seen this pattern around before, and I think it looks just a bit more cozy with this neckline.
