Modification Monday: Lil’ Parachutey Top

Original Pattern: Parachutey

Knitter Extraordinaire: AnMiwe (Ravelry ID)

Mods: Changed the original oversized layering tank top to a tie-back halter crop top.  Details on her modifications can be found on her project page, here.

What Makes This Awesome: Those hot weather summer knits are few and far between, but I love AnMiwe’s modified top to make this tie back halter top that works for her summer! She went with a sheer panel in the middle of the front, ideal for showing off a bright swimsuit or a trendy bralette. It’s a fun, playful knit that isn’t trying to be a fully function  sweater- it’s a pretty overlay piece that is beautifully mixes two different types of fingering weight yarn and has a beachy, laid-back vibe- which is no doubt exactly what she was aiming for.  For those of you that live in hot climates, maybe this would be a brilliant stash busting knit this season?

I love this! I’m a big fan of overlay pieces with pretty little things peeking out beneath

Really cute, but reserved to small breasts though. 😉 Love what’s happening on the back.

So creative!! You are a genius. Combining my two favourite things of two seasons… Sweaters and the beach! I’m sure I couldn’t pull this off as well as you do though!
